Just over three years ago, around the Spring of 2007, Third Floor
Designs LLC was just a vision with an idea on the drawing board and
an unknown amount of hard work ahead.The story begins like most: ingenuity, determination, and a bit of entrepreneurial luck paving the way for what would turn out to be a promising business enterprise. In this instance, ‘necessity’ was the driving factor for the principals of Third Floor Designs LLC. It was because of a completely personal event to which they credit their development of the line of uniquely functional and portable occasional tables and home theatre stands known as The Table ServerTM.
The principals of Third Floor Designs had just completed a major renovation in their home and decided to convert an over-sized attic into a home theater. As is typical, budget overruns were putting a constraint on the fulfillment of the project. Fortunately, most of the primary electronic equipment had already been bought. However, at this point, the purchase of the seven home theatre recliners had not been made.
As savvy consumers, the principals did their own extensive cost comparisons and found that even the least expensive models were priced out of range. Not willing to compromise, as they knew that along with style should come functionality, the home theatre seating had to have tray tops and cup holders. An ingenious idea blossomed. Call it luck, divine providence, or clean living, but the inspiration for a table with built-in beverage cradles was borne. The best thing about the design was that the table server fit perfectly between the recliners and needed no tools or directions to assemble. Shortly thereafter, the rage to own these tables caught on with their friends and a plan was hatched. The principals decided to launch a company to market and sell these innovative pieces to the community at large.
Since then, Third Floor Designs LLC has added six new table designs with more product innovations on the way. Branded as The Table ServerTM, and working closely with the wholesale, retail, and consumer markets, Third Floor Designs LLC products are becoming a household name.
Third Floor Designs LLC growth is attributed to four ideals: quality products, excellent service, great value, and the dedication of a family-owned business that stands behind its products and promises. By the way, it was no accident that the company is called Third Floor Designs. The principals’ new home theater room, accessed by a spiral staircase, leads up to the third floor. Hence, "Third Floor Designs LLC" name and logo.
